A shopper asks an AI about your product. What does it say?

ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity are already answering questions about products like yours. They quote a price, they say whether it's in stock, and they do it whether or not your page is readable to them. This checks what they actually see.

What a real report found

A live scan of an Indian jewellery storefront, on a product that was in stock and selling at a 20% discount:

  • All four engines reported it out of stock. The page's own structured data said InStock — but the visible page printed “Out of Stock” three times next to the product title, left over from variant labels. The engines read the text.
  • The engines disagreed with each other on price. Two quoted ₹8,360, one quoted ₹10,450. Neither was lying: the schema carried the pre-discount price and the real price only appeared after JavaScript ran.

Both are the merchant's to fix, both take under an hour, and neither was visible in any analytics they had.

What gets checked

Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and ChatGPT

Each engine is asked to read your exact product page and report the name, price and stock it finds. We compare every answer against your page's own structured data — so an engine that answers confidently and wrongly is marked wrong, not passed.

Bing Shopping presence

Several AI shopping surfaces, including Copilot, pull product cards from Bing's index rather than crawling your site. If you're not in it, you can't appear there.

Commerce platform integration

Whether you're on a platform AI shopping agents already plug into. Shopify's Agentic Storefronts are native; WooCommerce and Magento have no equivalent and need third-party tooling.

Structured price vs the price you charge

If your schema advertises the pre-discount price, every engine that trusts your markup quotes a number you don't sell at. It's also a Google Merchant Center violation.

Availability the page agrees with

Engines read the text, not just the schema. A page that says "Out of Stock" beside an in-stock product gets reported as unavailable — by all of them at once.

What you get back

A graded report with the evidence behind every check, and a “fix this first” list ordered by how much each fix actually moves your score — with the points shown, so you can tell a one-hour job from a one-week one.
